The first weeks of September are the best time to experience the mountains and fill up on energy and wellness, far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
This time of year has nothing to envy the months of June, July and August: the temperatures are still pleasant, the air is sparkly, rhythms are slower, trails are less crowded and the hotel accommodations offer promotions not to be missed. You can spend long days in peace and quiet, in close contact with nature, or go up to the summits with the lift facilities that will be open in both Falcade and Passo San Pellegrino until Sunday, September 11th, 2016.
For those who love walking, the Le Buse lodge makes an ideal departure base for marvellous hikes, since it is accessible with the Falcade cabin lift; so does, Baita Paradiso, which is accessible with the Costabella chairlift, and the mountain station of the Col Margherita cable car lift, the highest and most scenic point of the San Pellegrino Ski Area. Some of the most popular destinations for families definitely include the gorgeous Cavia lake and Passo Valles, while the Alta Via Mariotta and the Alta Via Bepi Zac will take you across what used to be the Austrian-Italian Front in World War 1, through trenches, tunnels, the remains of old barracks and military outposts.
Until Sunday, September 11th, you can also visit the multimedia photographic exhibit called “Moon, Mountain, Earth” in the Le Buse district, which presents the winter season in the San Pellegrino Ski Area with more than 1000 images projected on a lunar sphere that dominates at the centre of other celestial bodies.
