THE ANT GARDEN
Easily accessible with the new 8-person Falcade-Le Buse cabin lift, the Ant garden is an exciting learning trail at an altitude of almost 2000 metres, featuring fantastic images and informative panels describing the life of the Rufus Ant, offering a close-up look at their enormous and complex ant hills, which are remarkable examples of animal engineering.
The route is very easy and also suited to children. It winds along the Falcade Plain with breath-taking views of the Dolomites and their timeless wonder. It’s a special occasion to also get to know lots of other forest animals and learn about the local Alpine flora.
Along the walk to discover the Rufus Ant you can also visit the new Artists’ Forest, an open air art exhibit that highlights the creative talents of several sculptors and artists from the Val Biois, inspired by the beauty and traditions of this territory.
