Some of the world’s best champions will be training on La VolatA slope, which plunges down from the top of Col Margherita (2514 m) all the way to Passo San Pellegrino (1918 m), in a thrilling, curvy downhill with maximum gradients close to 50%. On January 4th La VolatA will be the training grounds for Slovenian National Ski Team, German National Alpine Ski Team and Italian National Alpine Skiing team, thanks to the valuable collaboration between Val di Fassa and the Italian Federation of Winter Sports (FISI).
Skiers can watch this spectacular live show. On January 6th and 7th Sofia Goggia will be training on La VolatA slope. From Tuesday 7th to Thursday 9th of January, the la VolatA slope, which is one of the most thrilling runs in the San Pellegrino Ski Area, will be the stage for the athletes of the group of the men’s World Ski Championships. Between them: Emanuele Buzzi, Peter Fill, Mattia Casse, Matteo Marsaglia and Christof Innerhofer.
La VolatA is considered one of the most challenging and spectacular runs in the Dolomites. La VolatA covers a total length of 2350 m and an altitude difference of 631 m and is easily accessible with the fast and comfortable Col Margherita cable car lift.
