Situated at an altitude of 2,514 m, Col Margherita offers an unforgettable natural panorama over the Passo San Pellegrino valley and the main Dolomite peaks, including the Prealpi Venete and the Stelvio glaciers. A few minutes’ walk from the top station of the cable car, there are two panoramic balconies with benches, pointers and information panels on the surrounding peaks and their geological description. One looks northwards, connecting the Latemar Group to the Marmolada, while the other faces south in the direction of the Pale di San Martino and the Catena del Lagorai.

VIEWPOINT 1

At the top station of the Col Margherita Cable Car, at an altitude of 2,513 metres, a panoramic viewpoint awaits you, inviting you to stop and take in the view. Thanks to the information panel, you can identify and name the majestic peaks silhouetted against the horizon, from the Pale di San Martino to the main Dolomite ranges visible from this extraordinary natural balcony. It is a place where the view becomes even more captivating, turning every glance into an opportunity to discover and admire the beauty of the Dolomites.

Along the route, you’ll find several telescopes that will allow you to take a close look at the peaks surrounding Col Margherita, taking in every detail: from the rocky faces to the scree slopes, right through to the more distant profiles that characterise this extraordinary Dolomite landscape. An invitation to pause, take your time to look around, and let yourself be amazed by the majesty of the mountains.

VIEWPOINT 3

Thanks to this innovative Dolomites steering wheel, you can compare the outline of the illustrated peaks with that of the real mountains. Simply turn the steering wheel until the outlines match to identify the main peaks around you. An engaging and intuitive experience, perfect for young and older visitors alike, which turns admiring the view into a game of discovering the Dolomites.
