You can breathe the air of the Arctic Circle without leaving Italy. But where? It happens on the Col Margherita: according to data from the CNR station located on the summit, at 2.520 metres.

A World Cup slope, La VolatA, and a unique panorama in the heart of the Dolomites, which opens up between the peaks of the Val di Fassa, in Trentino, and the Valle del Bios, in Veneto: this is Ski Area San Pellegrino, your area within the Dolomiti Superski.
The connection with the neighbouring Alpe Lusia Ski Area allows one to enjoy a total of 100 km of runs and 23 ski lifts. With a single ski pass, you can ski in both areas, thanks to a convenient high-frequency ski bus, which connects the two ski areas in just a few minutes.
The Ski Area San Pellegrino is a family-friendly destination, thanks to the presence of three ski school areas, but also a destination for those seeking adrenaline-pumping runs that offer conditions and standards of preparation in line with the needs of professional skiers: entirely exposed to the sun, it benefits from the northern orientation of its most technical slopes, thus guaranteeing a quality skiable surface throughout the season.
Part of the Piste Azzurre project of the Val di Fassa, the Ski Area San Pellegrino hosts the world’s skiing elite every year. It is the site not only of the training sessions of the Italian and foreign national teams but also of competitions of international interest such as the Ski World Cup Val di Fassa and the Women’s Alpine Skiing European Cup. This Alpine pass also boasts a Ski Cross track, in the Costabella area, which has also hosted the European Cup.
